I do not see how it is possible to get any breathing room here. I understand that the idea is you're supposed to kill enemies quickly so you have breathing room for the next wave, but I swear, I'm doing perfect runs where I run to the enemy as soon as they spawn, they throw up skulls because you cannot hit the red gem fast enough, I defeat them and before I can even start on the hoard of enemies they throw up, another one has spawned. But I NEED to look to see where all the skulls are, because there's so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ many of them.Įnemies spawn in so quickly. I've fallen off the platform so many times because there's so many damn skulls that I need to focus on, plus enemies that spawn is SO often that if I move my view to the skulls following me for a second, something just spawns in and kills me when I walk into it it seems like. I find this very annoying because it seems like there could be so much more, like dodging shots or weaving between enemies, but that's not what happens, because you need to spend all your time playing moving diagonally to avoid the damn skulls. They move faster than your character does, which literally means you CANNOT move in a straight line in this game (at least from what I can tell, maybe there's some hidden mechanics the game didn't tell me about, like everything else), and you always have to be circle strafing, which I PERSONALLY (it's an opinion guys) find annoying, next to the fact that the most common enemy in this game is the most annoying one in others. They home well, and considering how many there are, it just seems insane how fast they are. Their homing isn't a straight line or anything, but it's not far off. Yet, in this game, they are the main enemy in the game, and they are tough. Think Super Mario Bros 3 with the sun, or Super Meat Boy with the flies. First off, in most games, the enemy that follows you endlessly are usually the most annoying enemy in the game. I mean, the most common enemy in the entire game are the skulls, the ones that follow you endlessly. I've only played for about 20 minutes, my highest score is 150 seconds, and I generally enjoy a challenge, but this seems to be a bit much right off the bat. Yes, I am, but I still want to explain my views here.
